“I’ll pay you $950 to give you a reading.”

Updated: Apr 23, 2022

Well, that is practically what happened.

A few years ago, I was checking my bank statements, when I noticed a large sum of $950 had been deducted from my savings account. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the insurance, I had cancelled months ago had still been deducting money regularly. I had a busy day of work scheduled but I could hear a voice in the back of my head telling me that I need to stop work immediately and contact the company.

I followed my intuition. I reorganised my day and called the company immediately.

A lovely young customer service employee answered the phone. While she takes my details, she makes general conversation.

“How was your weekend?” She asks.

“It was good thank you. I do work seven days a week, though. So not much rest.” I replied.

“What is it you do?”

“I’m a medium. I prove life after death communication.” And with that sentence, I felt her grandmother on her mother’s side blend with me. With her consent, I continued.

“Would it be true that your grandmother on your mother’s side has just recently left this world?”

“Just a few weeks ago.” She answered softly.

“She is holding your dog who has also just recently passed over. It looks like a poodle, I believe.”

“Woah! I can’t believe this is happening. I am so happy.”

“Your grandmother wants to provide evidence that she is here in spirit, watching over you. She has been talking about how she loved bluebirds. You have a collectable item from her estate that has the bluebirds on them.”

“That is correct.”

“She’s telling me a gentleman by the name of Robert is here. Have you recently noticed her scent hanging in the air? The cheerful perfume she also wore?”

“I have!” She proclaimed.

“She shows me that she has been wearing it and spraying it near you, so you’d know she’s nearby, watching over you, protecting you. She tells me that she wants you to be more cautious and look after yourself when you are in the sun. Please be cautious and wear your hat, so your skin condition doesn’t flare up. Would it be okay if you passed a message on to your mum?”

“Of course.”

“Tell her not to feel bad that she could not be there for her mother’s passing. She had been unwell months prior.”

I wrapped up a few loose ends and asked for further validation

“Robert was her grandmother’s husband. My grandmother just died a few months ago and my dog not long after. After my grandmother passed away I was given her favourite cup and saucer with the little bluebirds on it. My grandmother’s perfume has been lingering in the air around me lately. It always gave me a great sense of comfort. In regards to wearing a hat in sun, I was recently diagnosed with skin cancer, it was all across my back and I still haven’t been wearing my hat in the sun. My mother is going to be so shocked.”

“There you go. Your loved ones know so much about our every thought. This grandmother knew I needed to call this company to get my refund but made me wait until her granddaughter answered the phone.”
